Dowland as ancestor of today's pop stars? Why not! As the first songwriter in history, he was known throughout Europe, his songbooks found a ready market  and his songs were applauded by everybody, made for catchy tunes and were sung everywhere. From his contemporaries to contemporary pop stars, passages were borrowed from his songs, which were used in their own works. With their emotional intensity, John Dowland's melodies and poetry not only go in the ear, but under the skin, they touch, remove, inspire. Thus, the audience can look forward to an atmospheric concert with Michael Schade, Luca Pianca and Giulia Genini, where it is presented with newly interprted old catchy songs.
