ANJA MITTERMÜLLER | Associate Artist at Wigmore Hall & BBC New Generation Artist

Austrian mezzo-soprano Anja Mittermüller continues her international rise to success: having won first prize at the Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition in 2024, she has now been selected as an Associate Artist of the renowned Wigmore Hall. From September 2026, she will thus join a new cohort of 16 artists on a five-year residency. The programme includes commissioned works, cross-disciplinary projects and a wide range of collaborations.

In addition, she has been accepted into the BBC New Generation Artists scheme, one of the most significant programmes for emerging talent in the classical music world. It offers selected artists extensive performance opportunities with the BBC as well as international radio exposure, and plays a key role in helping them raise their profile on the major stages.
