Florian Boesch and Nikolaus Habjan bring truthfulness on stage. When these two exceptional artists present Schubert's "Schöne Müllerin" in a scenic version at Berlin State Opera, it will be a truly unique premiere.
Florian Boesch has his very own view of this famous cycle by Franz Schubert. For him, the interpretation that the young miller's boy chose suicide in the end was just not conclusive. In his opinion – after intensive studies of the work –, the young miller emerges from the story healed and ready for the next love adventure.
It’s both a musical and scenic experiment. The songs are orchestrated by Musicbanda Franui and staged authentically by director and puppeteer Nikolaus Habjan, who created a puppet for this project and will bring it to life on stage.
Accompany Florian Boesch and Nikolaus Habjan on this hike and be there in Berlin, Hamburg, Graz, and at the Bregenz Festival.
