JULIAN PRÉGARDIEN & ANJA MITTERMÜLLER | in recital with András Schiff

Although still only at the beginning of her career, Anja Mittermüller continues to turn heads with her already warm, radiant mezzo-soprano voice, with which she expresses delicate nuances so vividly, captivating in turn both audiences and specialists alike. Having already collaborated earlier this month in the Schubert First project for young children, initiated by fellow Machreich Artist Julian Prégardien, Mittermüller now joins the seasoned Schubert specialist on stage in the Wiener Konzerthaus, alongside renowned pianist and Schubert interpreter András Schiff.

Now a regular recital partner to Schiff, Julian Prégardien’s singing has been described as “immaculate, alluring in tone and with a seamless legato in the lyrical moments” during last year’s performances together of Schubert’s masterpiece and favourite of Prégardien’s Die schöne Müllerin at the Salzburg Festival and London’s Wigmore Hall.

The exciting combination of all three artists promises to be an unmissable debut recital experience, and one which precedes a further appearance later this month at the Casals Forum in Kronberg, Germany, where András Schiff continues to teach and mentor young musicians as Principal Professor at the Kronberg Academy.
