After touring the piece in previous seasons to such venues as the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin or the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Julian Prégardien and Kristian Bezuidenhout come together again this May and June for another series of recitals focusing on their beloved work Die Schöne Müllerin.
Starting most appropriately at the home of Schubert’s celebrated music at the Schubertiade in Hohenems, the duo move on to Germany, performing at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Cologne Philharmonie and finally on to the Hugo Wolf Academy in Stuttgart – for a Schubert programme as part of their return to The Blind Spot.
The pair have garnered critical acclaim not only on stage, but also for their 2024 release of Schubert’s masterpiece on disc with Harmonia Mundi. Their performance is highlighted in particular for its historically informed spontaneity, emotional depth, and unique internal chemistry.
We wish the pair a huge Toitoitoi for this run of performances!
