In recent years, Patricia Nolz has made a name for herself as one of the outstanding concert and lieder singers of the next generation. She begins the festival summer with a duo song recital together with Nikola Hillebrand and Malcolm Martineau at the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg.
At the beginning of July, she will perform for the first time at the Carinthian Summer together with the Basler Chamber Orchestra and Giovanni Antonini. Patricia Nolz sings two very different arias by Mozart - including that of the very young Cherubino, who is ruled by his hormones and is in love with all the women at Count Almaviva's court, especially the Countess, for whom he wrote the serenade ‘Voi che sapete’. The aria ‘Parto, parto’ from Mozart's Clemenza di Tito - the great, incredibly moving aria in which Sesto promises his lover Vitellia to carry out the deed and to murder Tito - is sure to be the pinnacle of vocal-instrumental expressiveness in this concert too. Patricia Nolz also sings the impressive dramatic scene of Berenice by Haydn. This is also about love. But embedded in world events. Forever a topical piece!
Patricia Nolz is no stranger to the lied stage. She has the ability to touch the audience with vocal precision and authenticity. Her recitals are characterised by an intensive examination of the texts and impressive musical creativity. After her last recital at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Austrian national newspaper "Die Prese" wrote:
"Her mezzo-soprano voice is strong, with rich depth and fine high notes, but her creative ability also proved to be exceptional. She is an excellent musical storyteller who can create intense moods in every register with strong gestures and plenty of expression."
The audience in Denmark can look forward to Nolz's storytelling capability at the chamber music festival in Hindsgavl, where she will perform Schumann's ‘Frauenliebe und -leben’ as well as selected songs by Robert Schumann, Hugo Wolf and Alexander von Zemlinsky.
