PATRICIA NOLZ sings Cherubino at the Vienna States Opera

The Vienna State Opera presents a long-awaited new production of Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro on March 11, 2023, directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Philippe Jordan. The young Austrian mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz will sing the role of Cherubino in this new production.

Mozart’s music has already brought her remarkable success: even with her first Cherubino at the Theater an der Wien, she managed to fill the role of the young page with a character all its own. At the age of only 25, she sang the role in the famous Ponnelle production at the Vienna State Opera. Only one year, she celebrated a sensational debut as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni – also at the Vienna State Opera.

Her beautiful, well-rounded mezzo-soprano is compelling in all ranges, and she has a remarkable stage presence. I am sure that Patricia Nolz as Cherubino will not only turn the heads of all the ladies at Count Almaviva’s house, but will also win the audience’s hearts with her charm.

Don’t miss it: the premiere is on March 11, and performances run through March 26!
