was born in Villach, Austria and grew up in a musical family. After graduating from high school, she decided to live in France for an extended period of time. She studied French at the University of Rennes in Brittany, then returned home to attend the Vienna University of Economics and Business, majoring in Commercial Science. While there, she built up the economic university’s amateur orchestra, participating herself as clarinetist and organizing numerous tours throughout Europe for the group. In 1997, she decided to give up her studies to take up a position in the Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm Agency, eventually making her hobby and great passion for classical music her chosen profession. Dr. Horst Böhm promoted her to senior management in 2001, which allowed her to promote the careers of young, talented artists with great competence and personal care. During the course of her 14-year long career, she succeeded in bringing renowned singers like Patricia Petibon, Bernarda Fink, Marjana Lipovsek, Michael Schade, and Thomas Quasthoff to the agency. In May 2011, Helga Machreich-Unterzaucher founded the Machreich Artists Management agency, which she runs independently.
born in Hall in Tirol and raised in Rome, Alexander Brunner studied Musicology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. After graduating, he gained his early professional experience in conducting at the Berlin Staatsoper Unter den Linden, followed by a year-long master’s program at the Trent School of Management, obtaining a Master of Art and Culture Management. Particularly important were his three years as Assistant to the Marketing Director in the marketing department of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, where he was responsible for a wide range of organizational duties for the local opera. From April 2010 to January 2015, Alexander Brunner worked as an Artist Manager in the renowned artists’ agency, Stage Door, in Bologna, which represents international artists in opera and concert performance. Alexander Brunner has now been an Artist Manager at Machreich Artists in Vienna since February 2015.
born and raised in Vienna. After graduating from the music high school, she studied music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She was active both as an orchestral musician and as a singer. Numerous concerts have taken her to the USA, Singapore and China, among others. As a member of the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, she has performed in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Wiener Musikverein and with various opera projects at the Theater an der Wien. There she also supervised the orchestra of the youth project Jugend an der Wien from 2015-2020. In the 2020/2021 season she worked in the press office of the Bavarian State Opera and was most recently responsible for editing the website and social media as a consultant for online communication. Tatjana Seltsam has been working as Assistant Artist Manager at Machreich Artists since August 2021.
Originally from the UK, Saul completed his studies in French and Russian language and culture, before starting an international career as a translator and editor. Since moving to Vienna in 2020, he has gained additional experience in sales and business development in the education and performing arts sectors. The link to classical music has remained a constant throughout his personal and professional life, having also played in orchestras across five countries to date. After previously working alongside a number of prominent French artists during his time with IMG Artists in Paris, Saul is pleased to be able to bring his musical and linguistic background to Machreich Artists as an Assistant Artist Manager.
born and raised in Klagenfurt; finished secondary school in Klagenfurt. A member of the Gardemusik Wien, he studied Concert Horn at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts under Roland Berger. Before joining the Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm Artist Agency in March 2006, Max Unterzaucher worked as an international project manager in the field of environmental and energy technology, as well as a key account manager in the service sector. In May 2011, he began his tenure as the European tour manager for such well-known orchestras as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchester Amsterdam, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Gewandhaus Orchester Leipzig, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the Orchestre National de France.
