Appreciated for his interpretative diversity, the Viennese baritone Adrian Eröd is primarily associated in the Wagner Fach with Sixtus Beckmesser in Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, a role he has also performed in Bayreuth and at the Salzburg Easter Festival. Before resuming the role of the Nuremberg Town Clerk at the Spring Festival in Tokyo at the beginning of April and, shortly after, at the Dresden Semperoper under the baton of Christian Thielemann, Adrian Eröd can also be heard for the first time as Gunther in Wagner's Götterdämmerung, thus enriching his already multi-faceted repertoire with a further role.
