With one of her signature roles - Herodias in Richard Strauss' Salome with which she has since appeared also at the Wiener Staatoper, the Graz Opera and in Santiago de Chile - Iris Vermillion will make her eagerly awaited house debut at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre on May 19. The new production by Claus Guth, which was premiered last February and concevied as a coproduction with the Metropolitan Opera, features an international cast of singers and is conducted by the Theater's music director Tugan Sokhiev.
