Jan Petryka’s first collaboration with Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar Neumann Chorus and Ensemble takes the Polish-Austrian tenor on a tour of several major concert halls, such as the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Konzerthaus Berlin and Bozar in Brussels, where they perform Mozart’s Requiem, with Petryka as part of the quartet of soloists.
Accompanied by the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Jan Petryka then sings Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat in Tokyo in early December, before appearing prior to Christmas in the cantata Christen, ätzet diesen Tag (BWV 63) at Berlin’s Philharmonie under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski.
