JEREMY OVENDEN with Idomeneo in Madrid

After the British tenor Jeremy Ovenden, who is in high international demand especially for his Mozart interpretations, appeared in Mozart’s singspiel Zaide in Munich in mid-January, he now returns to one of the major roles of his repertoire, appearing as Idomeneo in Mozart’s opera of the same title at the Teatro Real in Madrid. During recent years, he has sung this role in such theatres as the Opéra National de Paris, the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Berlin State Opera. At the Teatro Real, Jeremy Ovenden last appeared with a Mozart title role as Tito in La clemenza di Tito.
