JULIAN PRÉGARDIEN - in Opera, Concert and Recital at the Salzburg Festival

Julian Prégardien is able to showcase his multifaceted artistry in all three genres at the Salzburg Festival this summer with the most marvellous roles and works a tenor could wish for. During the Ouvertüre Spirituelle, he can be heard as the Evangelist in Bach's St Matthew Passion under the direction of Teodor Currentzis. Julian Prégardien is known and appreciated as an outstanding Evangelist, who presents the central passages of the Gospel so vividly, but also importantly without the heroic gestures of a narrator who puts himself before the text.

This concert is followed not long after by the premiere of Mozart's Don Giovanni, where he sings "Dalla sua pace" as Don Ottavio, one of the most beautiful arias Mozart ever wrote. With touching intimacy, he already provided an absolute highlight at the Mozart Week as Don Ottavio in January 2023.

The Salzburg Summer will be rounded off with Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin, which he will perform together with Sir András Schiff at the Mozarteum. The two exceptional artists will passionately breathe life into the 200-year-old tale of unfulfilled love.
