MANUEL WALSER | Live-Stream from the Pierre-Boulez Hall

When he appeared at the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg in the autumn of 2015 as a last-minute replacement to sing Schubert’s Winterreise, Manuel Walser immediately won over the enthralled audience with his penetrating expressivity. It is not only the nuanced, modulated voice which convinces, but also Manuel Walser’s natural ease on stage.

Far from striking poses, he approaches the music and its expressivity with concentrated calm, and thus the new Schubert programme he presents at the Pierre-Boulez Saal in Berlin will be as compelling as earlier ones.  Manuel Walser and Jonathan Ware are extremely happy that their recital, which will take place without an audience due to COVID-19 restrictions, will be streamed via the Pierre Boulez Hall homepage!
