MATTHIAS REXROTH, new production in Dresden

Following his debut in Purcell's King Arthur in the fall of last year, altus Matthias Rexroth makes a come back for his second new production of the current season at Dresden's Semperoper. He will portray Nibbio in Giovanni Battista Martini's intermezzo L'Impressario delle Canarie,  the sleazy theater impressario who seems to be after more than only the vocal splendour of Dorina, the Diva whom he tries to coax into returning to his theater.

The piece will be performed together with Sub-Plot, an Intermezzo within the Intermezzo, written by Lucia Ronchetti.
