MAURO PETER sings in Celle, Ottawa and Salzburg

Mauro Peter launches the new year with songs and an oratorio!

First of all, he offers a Schumann programme at the chamber music cycle of the Schlosstheater in Celle, performing Die Dichterliebe, the Liederkreis and five additional songs. Helmut Deutsch accompanies him at the piano.

Trevor Pinnock, the former chief conductor of the National Arts Centre (NAC) Orchestra, returns to his old orchestra to lead two performances of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion in Ottawa. Mauro Peter leads a high-carat ensemble of soloists, singing the role of the Evangelist for the first time.

The 2019 Mozart Week in Salzburg offers only works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; thus, Mauro Peter dedicates his song recital matinee at the Mozarteum Foundation exclusively to Mozart’s song repertoire. Once again, he is joined by his accompanist of many years, Helmut Deutsch.
