After two years in the Opera Studio of the Vienna State Opera, where he appeared in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Guglielmo Tell, Rusalka and La fanciulla del West, among others, the Ukrainian baritone Nikita Ivasechko is moving to Graz Opera as a permanent member of the ensemble, where he will make his debut as Wolfram in Wagner's Tannhäuser in the first premiere of the 2024/2025 season. Shooting star Evgeny Titov, who has conquered the major opera houses in Berlin, Zurich and Munich, among others, with his haunting works in a very short space of time, will be directing the production, while Graz Opera's chief conductor Vassilis Christopoulos is at the helm of the music.
Furthermore, Nikita Ivasechko will also have the opportunity to perform for Graz audiences in March 2025 as Guglielmo in a new production of Mozart's Così fan tutte staged by Barbara-David Brüesch and conducted by Dinis Sousa, followed by Demetrius in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Bernd Mottl and conducted by Johannes Braun.
We wish Nikita Ivasechko all the best for his new artistic endeavours in Graz!
