NIKOLA HILLEBRAND takes to the stage of the celebrated Summer Festivals

Once considered a hidden gem of the industry, Nikola Hillebrand is now hailed as one of the most interesting young singers on the opera and concert scene, seizing opportunities as they come her way. Her ethereal soprano, rich in colour and tone, coupled with her flawless diction and touching interpretation, is tailor-made for Mozart, Haydn and Mendelssohn.

Nikola Hillebrand started the summer with Haydn's "Creation" together with the Basel Chamber Orchestra conducted by Giovanni Antonini, followed by a sublime Mozart matinée Salzburg Festival with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg conducted by their new chief conductor Roberto González-Monjas.

She will also open the Grafenegg Festival with Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" alongside Patricia Nolz and Cornelius Obonya, after which she will perform Mozart's "Il Re Pastore" at the Salzburg Festival under the direction of Adam Fischer. Bringing the summer to a close, Nikola Hillebrand could be heard in an ensemble recital of lieder and quartets by Robert Schumann at the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg. What a way to fill the summer!
