OLENA LESER sings Smeton in Donizetti's Anna Bolena at the Grand Théâtre de Genève

After Olena Leser (formerly Lena Belkina) scored a personal success as Smeton in 2021 in a new production of Donizetti's Anna Bolena with a high-calibre cast under the direction of French director Mariame Clément, she will once again slip into the role of the Queen's page in the current revival of the so-called "Tudor trilogy" Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Roberto Devereux, which was never conceived by the composer in this form.

Mariame Clément and her set and costume designer Julia Hansen have worked from the outset to create links between these three plays by combining them into a cyclical whole and revealing thematic cross-references. As at the premiere four years ago, Stefano Montanari is once again the musical director.
