OLIVIA VERMEULEN | Debut at the Zürich Opera House

The role of the page Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro is one of the central roles in the repertoire of the Dutch mezzo-soprano Olivia Vermeulen, which she most recently sang at the Opéra de Dijon and on tour with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under René Jacobs. After the originally planned Idamante in Mozart's Idomeneo could not take place due to a pandemic, Olivia Vermeulen is now making up for her house debut at Zurich Opera with the bustling page, under the musical direction of 

Immediately afterwards, Olivia Vermeulen will take part in a new production of the seldom-performed Il Giustino by Vivaldi at the Berliner Staatsoper unter den Linden, where she last appeared as Caino in Scarlatti's Il primo omicidio.
