OLIVIA VERMEULEN in her debut with the Orchestre Royal Philharmonique de Liège

Olivia Vermeulen is no stranger to the works of Beethoven, with notable performances of both his Ninth Symphony and Missa Solemnis featuring throughout her last season. This October, the Dutch mezzo-soprano brings the latter masterpiece to Namur’s Grand Manège and the Philharmonic Hall of Liège in Belgium, alongside the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège and their director Gergely Madaras.

After touring the work last season with conductor Jordi Savall, the Capella Nacional de Catalunya and Concert des Nations, to Barcelona's Palau de la Musica, Dresden's Frauenkirche and the Philharmonie de Paris, the collaboration was released on disc in November 2023 and was recognised in particular for its well matched vocal and instrumental colouration.
