OLIVIA VERMEULEN returns to Madrid for Mozart’s C Minor Mass

As a regularly invited guest in particular for the works of Mozart and Beethoven, mezzo-soprano Olivia Vermeulen has sung Mozart’s challenging C Minor Mass in collaborations including the Berliner Philharmoniker and Daniel Harding and the Belgian National Orchestra and Riccardo Minasi, among others.

Her interpretation of the soprano II part of this work is also documented on the recording with Masaaki Suzuki's Bach Collegium Japan, which was released in 2018 on the Swedish label BIS Records and received the Gramophone Award for Choral Music in 2017.

Now under the baton of Alondra de la Parra and the Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, she performs the work in Madrid’s leading venue for classical music, the Auditorio Nacional de Música for an evening of Mozart on 5 November 2024.
