As a current member of the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Sumi Hwang continues her portrayal of Mozart's most prominent opera roles for soprano. At the beginning of the current season, she already gave a highly-acclaimed house debut as Countess in Le nozze di Figaro under Konrad Junghänel, followed by her interpretation of Donna Anna in a Don Giovanni production staged by Nicolas Brieger. In the coming weeks, the focus will now be on two more central roles from Mozart's oeuvre, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and Ilia in Idomeneo. On April 23, Sumi Hwang will furthermore appear as Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
