»Alles wieder gut«
Recital with visualisation by Jonas Dahlberg
In the centre: Florian Boesch, a celebrated vocal character with a Viennese childhood. Surrounding him: the Musicbanda Franui, which brings the songs of Schubert and Schumann to life with dulcimer, harp, zither, double bass, violin and wind instruments. Swedish artist Jonas Dahlberg creates a new space for the encounter. A still image? Gradually, the audience realises that something can't be right. Slight shifts at first, clouding, imperceptible changes. The space, seen a thousand times, melts, dissolves, disappears.

Patricia Petibon, Soprano
Ensemble Amarillis
Héloïse Gaillard, Artistic direction
Héloïse Gaillard and Patricia Petibon, who have been close friends since their time together at the Académie d'Ambronay, tell of the intersecting fates of three emblematic queens in their music. Agrippina the Younger, the Roman empress, is sensitively portrayed by Handel in his cantata Agrippina condotta a morire. Mary, Queen of England, inspired Purcell to write some of his most beautiful melodies. Finally, The Fate of Aliénor d'Aquitaine was set to music by Thierry Escaich to a poem by Olivier Py, a work co-commissioned by the Ambronay JRC. A truly royal programme!
