PATRICIA NOLZ | Ensemble Member at the Vienna State Opera

In addition to her house debut as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Patricia Nolz celebrated an outstanding success as Zerlina in Barrie Kosky’s new production of Don Giovanni, conducted by Philippe Jordan:

“A great Zerlina – Patricia Nolz, a member of the Opera Studio, gave a convincing role debut. One highlight of this opera evening: (…) ‘Vedrai carino’, which Nolz interpreted with delicate nuance and great assurance (…) if there is a finger pointing us in heaven’s direction, it appears at this moment.” (Heid, orf.at, Dec. 5, 2021)

Patricia Nolz also started the 2022/2023 with Mozart's Don Giovanni, as the young mezzo-soprano begins her tenure as an ensemble member at the Vienna State Opera, where she will also take on the roles of La Musica/La Speranza in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in October 2022. In November, she makes her role debut as Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy. She reprises this role at the Vienna State Opera in the new year. The next highlight of the season is a new production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, in which she sings Cherubino – a chance to prove her trouser-role mezzo mettle!

Toi toi for the new challenges – we look forward to the coming season!
