KATRIN WUNDSAM and ADRIAN ERÖD - Salzburg Easter Festival

Richard Wagner’s opera Die Walküre opens this year’s anniversary edition of the Easter Festival, presented in a unique “re-creation” of the 1967 production: the new production by Vera Nemirova is set within the reconstructed stage sets by Günther Schneider-Siemssen. It will also be performed this autumn at the Beijing Music Festival, a co-producer of the reconstruction. Amidst an international high-carat cast of singers, the Austrian mezzo-soprano Katrin Wundsam makes her role debut as Grimgerde and her Salzburg Easter Festival debut as well.
